Online Casinos Enhance Live Dealer Games

In the online casino world, live dealers are the pinnacle of realism. Online casino operators have strived for years to faithfully recreate the land-based experience and live dealers have been the last step towards that goal. Now that the trend has caught on, software developers have decided to push things a little further, creating new applications to make live dealer games even more realistic.

Initially, live dealer games were praised for their ability to make players feel as though they were really gambling in a land-based casino. One of the major complaints that online casinos commonly heard was that players would rather experience the exciting environment of a Las Vegas casino rather than sitting at their computer. Live dealers solved this problem and provided players with an authentic gambling experience. The games also provided skeptical gamblers with reassurance. By being able to see a dealer shuffling and handing out cards, players became less worried about the possible shortcomings of computer software.

Now, online casino operators are taking things one step further. By implementing some interesting social media applications, players can now interact on a deeper level with their live dealer. Currently in the works is an application that will allow players to sit at the same dealer’s table every time they play, using a waiting list that notifies the player whenever their favourite dealer is available. There are also new applications being developed that would allow players to place bets on live dealer games that they are not currently playing. They can watch other live-dealer games in real-time, just as they would in an online casino, completing the faithful reproduction of the land-based casino environment.
